our 4th of july weekend, hooray!

We went to Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion show at Tanglewood in the Berkshires.  It's a blast.  Especially when you watch from on stage.  The guests this year were Steele sisters and Chris Thiele and Sara Watkins from Nickel Creek.  Chris's mandolin-playing was especially amazing.  He played this song and had me feeling utterly talentless.  The show was great.  Hurrah!
Me & my shadow enjoyed a full day on the beach too.  Watermelon, sandwiches, crackers and cheese, orange Izzes, cherries... Steve made sure we were fully stocked for a long day and the weather was just right.  The kids are sun-soaked and water-logged and their cheeks are pink with the slightest sunburn.  It's been a good summer to us so far.

this post would have thoroughly confused me as a child, as i was wholly convinced that pregnant women just walked around with pillows under their shirts.

I am the most jealous a human can be. I love Garrison Keillor!! I can't even start my day if I don't hear the Writers Almanac.

What deal with devil did you make to get on stage tickets?? Just cause, you know, if it was reasonable (ie life of servitude, first born, your soul) I'd like to make it too.

You are absolutely the best pregnant person in the entire world. You know the post when you wrote about your modeling and it didnt quite work the way you wanted to... well you shouldve modeled for a pregnant magazine!!! (yes i love your blog and have read it all!!)

@mellyb, deal with the devil indeed! no, in reality, the kids are related to garrison. it's the cross we have to bear (three times now!).

@stacie, you are the best commenter! bring it on!

@jenni, yes that and that the babies came out the belly button.

I LOVE Chris Thiele and Sara Watson. His mandolin playing is almost supernatural, I am sure of it.
